Tattoo Removal!! OUCH!!

(Before tattoo removal)

Ever since I've started my hiatus on blogging & tutorials,
I've been working 2 shifts a day and literally no time to turn on the laptop.
After my project ended, I've been lazing around, doing noting but playing Birzzle and surfing Facebook and watching Youtube on my Iphone.

But I have made good use of my time! Such as sending resume's to Singaporean companies hoping that one good company might take notice of me and call me in for an interview *crosses fingers*, working out, and
went for a freaking TATTOO REMOVAL!!!

I know I did a video tutorial on tattoo concealing a few blog posts ago,
and I really do like my tattoos. But the one on the back of my palm really is an eyesore to me for a few years now. Why? because I didn't really like the design. And the symbol is a tad too big for my palm size.

So why did I go for a tattoo removal? Because one of my girlfriends, she had a colored phoenix tattooed on her arm, and she went to laser it off 2 months ago. and it was gone by 20%, so I thought I should give it a go, who knows? my tat might be gone in 5 sessions?
That was what I thought. I did not Google any information on tattoo removal
nor did a consultation with the person who was going to remove my tattoo prior the session,
I just WENT with gusto! It was a impulsive decision btw.
And the law of the internet says that you fail when you do things impulsively.

So my tattoo removal was not done in a clinical environment, nor a beauty center.
It was done in a boutique. Yes a fashion boutique.
But not right in front of the cashier mind you. lol.
It was done on the 2nd floor of the boutique. The owner said that she is opting to go for a beauty salon cum fashion boutique all in one shoplot.
(I didn't know that it was actually a boutique judging by the name of the shop my friend had given me. I thought it was a beauty salon)
A normal person would take a U turn and start running away.
But not Veron Chuang!!!NO SIR!!!
By living up to what an average Sagittarius will do, I STAYED for adventure and pain!
(not promoting sadism here lol)

K so I went up to the 2nd floor of the boutique and saw well, an operating bed? (well it looked like one)
and a few other machines and equipments.
The owner told me to sit down on a chair and lay my hand on the "bed".
She pushed the machine towards me and pressed a button, a ray of light shone through a small peephole on the detachable handle of the machine.
On the count of 3, she placed the handle on my tattoo.

AND I WAS LIKE...............

From here I shall try to answer all the questions that I got from my friends and reply in what I personally felt throughout the session.
No scientific evidences here.

HOW DID THE SESSION LOOK LIKE? :-

That was what my tattoo looked like while undergoing the laser removal.
And it made the SAME sound.
But a different equipment was used on me.
Smelt like burnt meat!
No the tattoo didn't magically "disappear" when it turned white.

HOW DID IT FELT LIKE? :-

IT WAS MAD MAD MAD PAINFUL!!!
Worse than getting a tattoo. But bearable!
it felt like a needle of burning fire was being inserted into your skin, and it hit right into your bones.
If I had to rate the pain, I would say tattoo removal via laser is around 5 times the pain than getting a tattoo done. I broke out in cold sweat within 3 minutes! No joke!
I crossed my legs together and they were squeezed together so hard that it was the first time in my life that I've actually felt sweat dripping from my legs.

HOW LONG DID THE SESSION LASTED? :-

It took the owner around 20 minutes to laser 3 of my tattoos.

WHAT? 3? I THOUGHT YOU SAID 1 TATTOO!:-

Well judging by the tattoo picture that my friend showed the owner, she quoted about RM250 and above to remove that one tattoo on the back of my palm PER SESSION.
So I asked what if I removed all 3 tattoo's on my arm and palm? She quoted RM500 per session.
So I thought that it would be a good bargain to remove all 3 of them instead of 1.

PER SESSION? HOW MANY SESSIONS WOULD YOU NEED TO UNDERGO TO REMOVE IT COMPLETELY?

As I've wrote earlier, I did not look up on any information upon tattoo removal,
judging by the results of my friend's tattoo, my budget was a complete removal within RM5000. (10 sessions)
BUT! When I asked the owner that would it be removed within 10 sessions? She said, definitely more than 10 sessions because the color of the ink was too deep.
And even if  I undergo more than that, there would still be left over stains from the tattoo showing up on my skin. And that was the moment I've decided to not return for the 2nd session. It's way over my budget ;(
Currently there is no treatments in Malaysia to fully remove a tattoo, after googling for information.

WHAT MACHINE DID THE OWNER USE?

Of course she didn't tell me the brand of the machine. hehe.
But she said this machine was multi-purpose.
It can be used as a tattoo removal machine, ALSO a pigmentation removal machine from any part of the body.

SHOW US HOW YOUR TATTOO LOOKS LIKE NOW!!

Here is a video of me mumbling in the car 10 minutes after the tattoo removal.
As you can see my arm was shaking in pain.
And the tattoos were swollen.

Taken seconds after the laser session with my lao pok kak Iphone camera.

DAY 2

DAY 3

AIN'T THAT JUST................

EWWWWWWW???????

It looks like I contracted aid's or something! And it HURTS LIKE MAD!!!

But! It is normal for these blisters to form,
remember it's laser that hit the skin.

DAY 6+ DAY 7

DAY 14

Day 14, the skin on my laser-ed tattoo is itching while peeling off on it's own.

Currently I'm in day 20,
and the tattoo doesn't itch anymore, but it does look like there's a flim of shine on the tattoo which I can't explain? Maybe it's still recovering from the laser?

SO DID YOUR TATTOO REALLY DISAPPEAR?

The owner does not use magic,so nope.

BUT DO YOU SEE A DIFFERENCE AFTER THE TATTOO REMOVAL?

Yes I do see a difference on the rose of my cross; the color did get lighter by 20%.
but as for the tribal tattoo on the back of my palm and the cross, sadly no. =(

So that's it! =)
That's basically what I felt throughout the whole before and after process of my tattoo removal.
Hope this helps anyone of you who is interested in it.
